Long Bio_Hadi

I am a Ph.D. candidate working on the DC9 project. I have a bachelor’s degree in anesthesiology from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, with several years of clinical work experience, most notably at an orthopedics OR center in Tehran, where I was in daily contact with patients who suffered from diabetic foot syndrome.

I obtained a master’s degree in International Community Health from the University of Oslo, delving more into health research and learning more about the current global public health issues (e.g., diabetes). I pursued my interests further at NTNU, where I studied Movement Science at master’s level, and gained valuable experience working with movement analysis methods, which I intend to use extensively in this project. I also learned more about data analysis, signal processing and relevant software (MATLAB/Python).

My current project aims to develop and test optimal factory-made shoes for individuals at risk of developing diabetic foot complications, in close collaboration with the industry. I am dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for people living with diabetes, with the ultimate goal of preventing limb loss.

Outside of academia, I find joy in music, movies, working out, and driving. I eagerly anticipate collaborating with my talented peers working on other DIALECT projects, as well as the esteemed academic staff at the University of Bologna. Together, we strive to make a meaningful impact in the field of diabetes care research.
